Hmmm. I wonder if it’s some minor difference between American and European builds. That would be pretty odd. I know they sometimes update at different times, but most games use the same build for US and EU servers and I would expect WoW to be the same.

I really wish Blizzard would come out and tell us what they intend with this behavior.

I just discovered a minor bug: I have a shot macro that includes specific pet commands. If my Ravager is dead, he will continue to make sounds as the abilities in the macro are triggered. I haven’t tried this with my other pets yet.

Got myself a Ghost Saber now, it took me about 5-6 statues and about 30 mins (had to wait for respawn of the statues). Nice kitty, I like it already. =)

Yes, I’m on European server (Defias Brotherhood RPPvP Alliance side), using a Mac with minimal addons.
I’ll try again later on, and I’ll try to free 1 stable slot to see if it gets working again.

That’s very odd. I am still able to dismiss and tame, both my Mania (level 70) with a full stable and on the level 11 Tauren I mentioned who tamed Mangeclaw. The Tauren had one empty stable slot and one still unpurchased. Just to verify, I tried again just now on Mania.

Hmm .. I do wonder where the difference is coming from. Are you on a European server or anything?

Shoot — I completely forgot to mention that about the weird death thing on the Ghost Saber page. But yes, most Ghost Sabers will unexpectedly die shortly after you tame them. I’ll add that to Petopia.

I interpretted that to mean that the pet stayed desummoned. I think the ‘lost’ refers more to warlocks, whose pets require an item to summon most of the time. But I have to admit that I haven’t tried it yet. :>

ahahaha, I did the same thing a thousand years ago with a night elf hunter and had the exact same problem. I wish I’d known about the one swipe per fight then too. I think I ended up taming him after he swiped at the very, very last second of the spell and the server registered him as being tamed anyway.

A related note: What are people’s experiences with taming low level pets on high level characters? I have a 70 who’d really like a Ghost Saber, but I’d like to get some idea of the effort involved in leveling one before I plunge in. Any tips would be appreciated!
